The Big Reveal

As I mentioned at the end of my previous post, there is something that has been "in-the-making" over these past few months; and I am quite excited to finally reveal this surprise to you!! But before I do, here are some photographs of the surprise during its "in-the-making" stages:

Alright, enough with the teasing and the "in-the-making" photographs... it is now time to reveal the finished product!! Especially since you are probably wondering by now what it is exactly, haha ;-)

There are two videos for your viewing pleasure; and each one features a tour of the "surprise," given by... me, of course!!

The first video is a little over 7 minutes in length, while the second video is less than one minute long (since I forgot to include something important in the first video, I had to make a separate one in order to get everything in, haha).

So, what has been "in-the-making" all this time?? I hope that you will watch at least one of the videos (no obligation, of course), in order to find out.

Video #1 - VeggieGirl's Guided Tour (7 minutes in length - it's worth it, I promise!!)

Video #2 - Quickly Finishing The Tour (less than 1 minute in length)

video

So what did you think of the "big reveal"??

I hope that you had time to watch the videos, since that would be the only way that you would know what exactly was just revealed (I guess that still makes this post a bit of a teaser, haha). I hope that it was all worth the wait and that you enjoyed the videos, since I had a lot fun making them.

**On another note, Heather and Mark from the Hangry Pants blog are holding a Food Drive. If you have not done so already, please comment on this post on their blog - once you do, they will contribute 5 cents toward donating food to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. A great cause for sure - especially during the holiday season.

I will have to find those Sunshine burgers. Never tried them, and you make me want to go buy more Hemp milk. Haven't had it in so long. What is your favorite smoothie recipe?

Also, I agree. Larabar needs to start selling the baby Laras! Can't wait to read about some new recipes prepared in your new kitchen.

Having a space of your own to create your favorite things must be such a treat...I'm jealous.

Do you have a favorite recipe to go along with all those protein shakes you drink? I use rice protein for all of mine, but I have to admit, I don't love it. What does the hemp taste like because I'm not a huge fan of the hemp milk?

Thanks again VeggieGirl for the very informative and healthful video (and thanks for all the nice comments on my blog)!

Congrats on your very own kitchen. I loved the videos - thank you so much for sharing.
What kind of frozen veg burgers did you say those were? I would love to try a soy free variety as soy does not always agree with me. I am not that familiar with hemp - does it contain a lot of protein? Maybe I should do a little research. As you know I am not a meat fan so I would love to find another source other than soy - as I per the reason I stated before.
Any info you would be willing to share would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

That is an amazing surprise. I am so jealous! I had no idea what you were going to say and certainly did not guess that.

I also wanted to let you know that I gave you an award on my blog to let you know how much I enjoy stopping by.

This is so cool to see you on video and hear your voice! Yay VeggieGirl! It's awesome that you have your own kitchen. Was it a surprise at all? I'm glad you showed us inside your fridge and cabinets too - that was neat to see what staples you keep and how much nondairy milk and protein powder you go through. Love those little Larabars. I've only seen them at the Vegetarian Food Festival around here. It really WOULD be great if they would sell those. Good idea! Also, I will have to check out that blender - mine is on it's way out I think. So thanks for the recommendation.

teeni said...

I have to comment again because I totally agree with you on the Sunshine burgers - those are my favorite too! Love 'em! I also wanted to say that maybe you could be video posting every so often from your own kitchen as you bake some of your goodies in the future? Just set up a tripod and go to town if you have to! I'd love to see you in action. :) Okay, I'm off to comment on the food bank blog now.

Jasmiana said...

Hi Veggiegirl

I've only just discovered the blog and I'm amazed by your ability to juggle so many things in your life and still find time to bake and maintain a blog. You truly are the Queen of multitasking.

I particularly love your blog because, like you, I am gluten intolerant (coeliac actually) and also allergic to soy. In addition to this I am also vegan.

I was wondering if you would consider doing a 'what I eat in a day' post (simlar to Shelby's at La Belle Vegan). I have never met anyone in 'real life' with the same allergies and dietary preferences as me and I often find myself getting very depressed about the limited range of foods I can eat, eating something I shouldn't and then making myself very ill. A 'what I ate today' post would hopefully give me some inspiration (although I could happily live off your wonderful baked goods, I have very limited culinary abilities and not enough skill to make the recipes). I appreciate my needs would be different from yours as you are practically a training athlete and if you wouldn't feel comfortable doing such a post then I completely understand.

Many thanks

~Jessica~

BTW, I was so relieved when you showed the freezer. I thought you maybe had a body in there and that's why you weren't showing that. :-)

This is insane... your own kitchen?! That must be great (as far as gluten-intolerance goes) because you can assure there won't be any cross-contamination.

Anyway nice, I hope you whip something up in there to show us soon!

Wow! How exciting is this! Love the video post. I am so so so jealous of this brand new kitchen. It must be nice to have a space all to your own. And the photo-taking place? That is way cool.

Finally able to see the first video!
How great that you have this space of your own--and how nice to "meet" you ;) Haha.
Should I be keeping my nuts in the fridge? I just keep the m in the cupboard normally because I go through them quickly. Is that the VeggieGirl recommendation?
YAY for Larabars and YAYAYAY for pronouncing Lara correctly! I feel like the name is always butchered to rhyme/sound like "glare-a" if you know what I mean.

How sweet that your parents built you your own little kitchen. You are already filling it with the little special things that make it just right for you. I love your magazine perched on the counter. Great way to multi task. I've got one like that for blowdrying my hair. Thanks for all your support for so many blogs. You deserve all the good things in the world!

Wow, lucky girl! That kitchen looks lovely.

I must say... It's strange to hear your voice! For some reason, it sounds different than I imagined it. Certainly not in a bad way, but I suppose it's like corresponding by letter with someone for a long time & then hearing them talk on the phone or seeing them in person. :)

congrats on the kitchen! I love how you have the photo studio right on the counter, brilliant! :)
