Part 1: Episode 12 of VeggieGirl TV
**Featuring Session #3 of the Q&A's - was your question chosen from the "question container" tonight??**
Video Duration = 5 minutes and 54 seconds
Part 2: Baked Goods Galore!!
**Finally getting around to posting all of the backlogged baked goods that I have been whipping up in the kitchen - all since March!!
Note: All blondie batches were adapted from previous recipes that I have already posted on the blog**
Chocolate Chip-Carob Chip-Fig Spread Blondies
St. Patrick's Day-themed Chunky Banana Muffins (with gluten-free sprinkles baked right in; based off of this recipe)
Almond-Fudge Blondies
Chocolate Chip Blondies
Oatmeal-Carob Covered Raisin "Pudding" Cake (the result of an impromptu baking experiment)
Peanut Butter Puffin-Carob Chip-Pecan Blondies
Easter-themed Chocolate Chip Cookies (slathered with allergen-free vanilla frosting and topped with Whole Foods Gourmet Gumdrops)
Chocolate Chip-Hazelnut Butter Blondies
Walnut-Fig Spread Blondies
Cheetah Spot Sweet Potatoes...
Okay, so these are not technically considered a "baked good"; but I still wanted to share my new favorite way to bake sweet potatoes, thanks to Kailey's cooking method expertise.
And the baking adventures continue... stay tuned!!
April is already half over - can you believe it?! Enjoy it while it lasts, as time does fly...

I think I'm most in love with the sweet potatoes, but the other sweets look great!
all the baked goods looks great! Definitely keep the balloons up, they will remind you of your special day every time you see them!
Time does fly! And I loved your video - and all your baked goods, some of them made my mouth water. :) I hope the rest of your semester goes smoothly and successfully!
i love those cookies! so cute. and the blondies with fig spread sound amazing, too!
For the record, every single thing looks delicious! Some of the combos you come up with are out of this word (PB Puffins in a blondie? Genius!)!
My ESP is kicking in again. I so called your sweet potato answer before you said it ;) Hmmm...wonder why?!
GET WELL SOON VEGGIEDAD!! VG have a faaaaantastic weekend, love!

p.s. i love that you call your dad "veggiedad" too funny
<3
Miss Veggie Girl, thans for another fun and entertaining episode!!! I had been wondering about some of your food intolerances, what a bummer you have to avoid so many things!!
Here is a question since I have been delving a bit into the raw foods....What made you decide to take the step from veganism to high-raw? Was it a natural result from having to avoid so many foods b/c of your food intolerances?
The Oatmeal Carob Pudding Cake looks amazing!!! Seriously, when are you opening a bakery :)
*Chanting* VeggieDad! VeggieDad! VeggieDad!
Did you put my question from last week in the jar for VeggieDad? If you put it in there, it might make him come out and answer on camera!
I love that you know what you like and won't change for others (your hair pulled back). That's awesome!
Your baked goods are drool-inducing, um hello
Peanut Butter Puffin-Carob Chip-Pecan Blondies!!! I hope you got to sample some of those... and I am totally trying sweet potato now!
Fun episode, as per usual!

Oh jeez your baked goods look amazing!
I'm with you on high school... fun, sure, but way too much drama!
Wow.. have you been busy. it all looks so very delicious.
You sure have been busy baking! Beautiful looking goodies. And a recipe maybe for the Chocolate Chip-Hazelnut Butter Blondies? WOuld love to try these out. Anything with Hazelnut butter is amazing.
I enjoyed that episode! It seems like the stress from school has gone down a bit, has it? Since it's exam time, probably not, but you seem less stressed overall! I totally agree, blogging has been so much fun! It has definitely made me a better baker and opened me up to new people and ideas about food. I know I said this before, but it was really thanks to you that gave me the courage to start my blog.. thanks! I don't think I would have been able to try so many different desserts, improve my techniques and if you can believe it, confidence!
Btw.. before you answered the question to your favourite vegetable, I knew you were gonna say sweet potato.
And, everything looks great! I can't believe you baked so much. The chocolate chip hazelnut butter blondie combination sounds amazing.
All of your creations look so great! I really need to try these blondies some time, but I've never been that great at vegan baking. I'll have to start taking some notes. Have a great weekend VeggieGirl!
I'm going to tell you again, because I just can't tell you enough HOW MUCH I freaking LOVE those hazelnut butter chocolate chip blondies! They are unbelievable!!! Well, and you're unbelievably great, so I guess it makes total sense :)
Your dad is a riot! Love the hand (and hope he feels better).
Thanks for answering my question--great answer. I feel the same way about blogging (well, except I already knew about Larabars!)
Yummy eats--those blondies! You should open a blondie bakery, seriously.
Hey Veggie Girl!
This was my first VG video. I loved it! It's funny - my first thought was about what a dry style you have. And then you mentioned that you have a dry sense of humor. Just like me! We'd both do well in England I imagine.
I'm looking forward to going back and seeing your other videos.
You are so ridiculously creative! All of your creations always look so yummy!
You had me at chocolate chip blondies!
lots of blondies!!
i like that oatmeal pudding cake; are you going to post the recipe for that?
I LOVE DARIA! I miss that show. I was like Daria in high school too...and now. :)
I'm right there with you! I CANNOT live without sweet potato. Seriously, almost every other day, all I do is rinse it, wrap it in foil, then let it bake for an hour at 375 -- yum! Apples too :). Your baked goods look yummy, the oatmeal cake sounds really delish!
Speaking of allergies (here's my little update that I owe you :), it turns out I don't have crohn's or colitis...but I tested positive for the celiac gene :/...I just have to be more strict with the gf diet.
Everything looks amazingly delicious!!!
What is your favourite blondie version so far???
I like veggie TV - keep it going :)
i loved hearing how blogging has made an impact in your life. i feel like such a new blogger but i love it, and the community so much already <3!
and please grace us with your presence veggie dad!
So much amazing food porn...yum...you need your own recipe book!
I think you have definitely filled your baking quota for the month:) They all look delicious! Oh darn, no question from me yet:( Glad to hear the ones you answered.
aw yay this was one of my favorite veggietv episodes!! i hope veggie dad gets the courage to come on ;)
have you ever considered photography with you journalism? your photos always look spectacular mmm
Hey VeggieGirl,
Great video post! I wanted to tell you that I found gluten-free, soy-free vegan bars that are AWESOME. "NuGo" - so delicious - I love them; they can be hard to find, though, so I buy online. Anyway, I highly recommend checking it out -- here's the link to that line of bars (they make all different ones): http://store.nugonutrition.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=nugo-free
Let me know what you think :)
You're killing me with the desserts! What's a girl gotta do to get a batch of blondies... yum! (Maybe I need to start begging on my blog like Nate does lol).
AHHH all your new baked goods look SOOO delicious!! I agree with Ricki.. you should definitely open your own blondie bakery!
And great episode of VeggieGirlTV.. gotta love PB puffins!!
I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet because I got distracted by your delicious looking baked goods. Yum Yum. Now I must go get something sweet to eat :)
i especially loved this post - vg tv, more q&a, major blondies and yummy goodies, vg dad appearance, and sweet potato!
happy happy weekend lou! i cant wait to catch up!
love you <3
bunny
p.s the easter cookies are so cute! i love gum drops :)
Just a hand?! Your dad is such a tease ;) But I did LOL a little when he waved.
So much baking, so little time! I would love to bake that much, but then I would have to eat it all. You are lucky to have all those taste testers around for you to create in the kitchen :)
Sweet potatoes are my favorite root vegetable too! Yum. I love them :D
You are a blondie queen!
Come on out VeggieDad, we don't bite!
Mmm, beautiful baked goods (duh) ~ I'm especially in love with the Chocolate Chip-Carob Chip-Fig Spread Blondies.
You completely remind me of Daria (in the nicest possible way) in the sense that I'd imagine you were above the normal 'drama' that teenagers go through and on a somewhat higher level intellectually than 90% of your classmates.
And I can't believe someone said you made up the fact that you had allergies ~ whoever it was shall receive an online poke in the eye from me. Allergies are no fun, they are serious conditions which make life very difficult for many people. At secondary school (English High School equivalent) I too was accused of 'faking' my own intolerances to avoid eating junk food. What are we supposed to do, eat the stuff and then film the unpleasant results just to prove that we're telling the truth. Honestly!
Anyway, rant over. Great episode of Veggie TV and I look forward to the next one ~ you have given just as much (if not more) to the blogging world than it has to you so keep posting whenever the feeling strikes you : )
yum yum yum!!! thanks for veggieTV. made my day :)
lots of love
i LOVE veggie girl tv :)

I love seeing all the baked goodness - but you know that! The cookies are so cute and festive, and too many Veggie Girl posts without blondies, well, it's just weird!
Ahh! Veggie Dad's Hand! Come on, I know we all want a Veggie Dad appearance soon! What a great Episode and Baked Good extravaganza! I look forward to your posts and videos every week, you make me laugh and smile! Especially when you compared yourself to Daria, lol. Love you tons, can't wait to meet ya!

Cute bakery round up. Love the Cheetah sweet potatoes.
high school = drama. MOST definitely!!! can't think of a single person i've met (apart from guys.. but what do they know) that haven't said high school was like a bad teen TV series haha. though fun, it's good to get out! and wow your baked goods are making me drool. i think we need a veggiegirl doppelganger in the UK to open a bakery near by!!!

haha, emmy-worthy video, as always. my friend (wife) and i are here in charlotte watching it together and laughing hysterically. i LOVE your sense of humor. and thanks for posting all the baked goods! though laughing and drooling at the same time is kind of a rough combo ...
1. I'm already over high school...and I'm only a junior! It's too much drama. I can't believe it when people say "High school was the best time of my life"...really? That's sad haha
2. VeggieDad cracks me up everytime!!! We should have a vote to make him come on camera ;)
3. Your face totally lit up when you said Sweet Potatoes!
4. I'm totally going to kick Anonymous' ass.
5. LUSCIOUS BAKED GOODS!!!
Oh my gosh- I never do my hair either. I probably blow dry it one time per month. All of the baked goods look soooo good- especially the Peanut Butter Puffin-Carob Chip-Pecan Blondies! I am going to shoot you an email soon ;)
You are so frickin' hilarious. You kill me! I loved the response to the "etc." about your food allergies. I'm pretty sure when we meet, I'll just be laughing the whole time. And get ready for this laugh, 'cause it's loud.
Hell yes to the sweet potato answer!! I'm witchoo. Thanks for the shout out, too!!!
How did you become so creative in your baking? Has that developed as you've become more practiced as a baker? You don't actually have to answer those; I'm merely trying to figure out your brilliance.
Enjoy your weekend, sweetpea! :) Much love xoxo
I'm the same way with high-school. Loved my friends and classes...but way too much drama! Looking back, it all seems so silly now.
OK, VeggieDad, I'm not going to give up quite yet. We want to see the face behind the cougher :)
Chris now refers to VeggieGirl TV as his Saturday morning cartoons.
Sweet potatoes. :)

Bobby and I love watching your videos. I had no idea you had struggled so much with allergies and food intolerances!! I mean, I knew you had a lot, but I didn't realize it had being going on your whole life. At least sweet potatoes seem to be working for you!
Yum, so many delicious things! Everything you've made looks incredible.

That pudding cake sounds so interesting! The chocoalte chip hazelnut blondies sound like they would be my favorite. Loved seeing all those baked goods! I need a snack! :)
Hi there! I just discovered your blog, and I enjoy reading your past entries, especially the recipes. But I noticed a lot of the pictures you've posted are broken/deleted. I'm a very visual person when it comes to food recipes, so I was wondering if you could possibly restore the broken images? I would appreciate it so much!
I couldn't agree with you more about how wonderful this blogger community is! I love all the friendships I've formed with people who have such similar interests as me!
LOVE all the baking! You must have been busy. You are so darn creative ;)
holy baking!!! i FINALLY made your blondies :) amazing, i'll post my rendition soon...
HI VEGGIE DAD :) hehe
Baked goods galore is right!!! Everything you made looks absolutely delicious, and I am definitely going to try to recreate those cheetah spot sweet potatoes. And I loved the video as always!

veggiegirl that was SO your best episode... LOVE seeing your big gorgeous smile and hearing your answers to the reader questions!!
That was an awesome baking recap, I am so going to try your Blondie recipe from Jenna's cook book once I am done with this semester!
Veggie Girl....I dub thee Baked Goods Queen~ Open a Bakery already! ;)
I also have a tip. Perhaps you could post a link to the blogs whose questions you answer. Just an idea! Love your Videos! <3
Now let's see Mr. Veggie Dad!
I came to play
Love your posts as usual! I really enjoyed this group of questions especially when you discuss being vegan. Two years! How time flys eh?
You had me at Almond-Fudge Blondies! Yum!! Oh and the Peanut Butter Puffin-Carob Chip-Pecan Blondies sound delish, too!! :)
I totally agree with you about discovering new food finds & good friends through blogging. All of your baked goods look awesome!
You are obviously a baking queen! I love all the varieties of your signature blondies. Each batch sounds delicious!

All of these baked goods look so delicious! I absolutely must cook the blondies sometime soon... Also love the sweet potato recipe, I always need new ways to cook this veggie!
Love the Q & A! Yay for sweet potatoes! I would wear my hair up all the time if it looked cute like yours. I think I look silly with my hair up. :-p
Your baked goods look amazing, as always. You should open a bakery. I would build blondies into my food budget. Your family is lucky to have such a wonderful cook like you!
Tell VeggieDad not to be shy!
Have a great week! :-)
Great post, great video, yummy baked goods, yummy sweet potatoes!! :)
Have a great week! You're right, where's April going?
I love sweet potatoes...roast them all the time and beets too, they carmalize so nicely!!
Aw Daria! I can definitely see that. I am definitely a hair up and away from my face person as well.
Veggie Dad! Veggie Dad! That is to encourage him to quit his camera shy ways.
I love all your blondie creations, but I think I love the puffin ones the best. :D Have a nice week.
I hope you share the pudding cake recipe, even if it was an experiment. It looks so good!
Are you taking questions for episode 13?
Veggie Dad, why you gotta be so elusive?!
Wow--keep the delicious creations coming! Chocolate Chip-Hazelnut Butter Blondies---mouth-watering!!!
Those blondies look incredible! Dying to try them! Especially the chocolate hazelnut ones! YUM, can just taste them!
Love the look of the pudding-cake, yum! And I need to use up some fig preserves, so I'm happy to see all the inspiration!
yeah these are so fun to watch! we all just think you are the bees knees
your videos are the best! seriously, this post was straight up food porn girl! those baked goods make me drool EVERY time! you are such a baking genious, i say you open up a store, you'll be sold out at all times!
I'm droooling!! They all look SO good :) Haha tell VeggieDad to come out! He should have a very special post where he talks about you and your awesomeness and your food!!
Just catching up on all the videos... I love that you mentioned your high school experience as being Daria-like. I used to have the VHS tapes of that show, and in junior high I made a marinette type thing of her for French class (we had to make a puppet to speak French with, and I chose her as my ultimate symbol of how lame the project was).
Oh my gosh. All of those blondies. You're totally trying to tempt me, aren't you? Well, it worked! I have to tell you, though, what I'm really craving is that raisin pudding! Everything looks delicious!
You are so sweet! Love the video and question/answer :) And, ooh-la-la I love those pics of food. HHHHMMMMMM!!!
Love,
Kristen
Hey fellow sweet potato lover! Your desserts are entirely enticing...keep on baking!
And didn't we sneak a peak of Veggie Dad in your BDay photos? He's cute off camera anyhoo.
I've never had blondies before.
Veggie Dad, pleeeeeease let us see you :)
I knew that you would have tons of blondie photos in this post! They look so delicious -- thanks for the ideas! I love the idea of the pudding cake too. It looks like my oatmeal breakfast in baked form!
Awww, shy VeggieDad! That's so cute!
Ugh, I can't figure out which baked goodie looks the best. All of them?
Speaking of baked goods...
If you get a sec tomorrow, swing by my blog to check out the auction/bake sale I'm hosting to raise $$ to fight cancer.
I loooove Daria! And your sense of humor :o)
I agree with you on blogging - it has helped me open up, make new friends and be so, so happy! And of course, you're one of those bloggy and real-life BFFs!
Aw, hey VeggieDad's hand!! PLEASE APPEAR ON CAMERA!!
I love all of your baked goodies - especially those Easter-themed Chocolate Chip cookies!! I looooved those gourmet gumdrops from Whole Foods! They had free samples once ;o)
Cool sweet potatoes! I'll have to check out Kailey's method.
Have a wonderful night!
The sweet potato! Of course. I knew that. I think I asked that question but then I figured the answer out.
Sweet potatoes are so good. In everything.
i don't think anyone wants to repeat high school!
love your dry sense of humor!
I knew you were going to say sweet potatoes - I never knew they were so nutritious as well.
carob and choc chips blondies??? I know you prefer carob chips, but I bought them in bulk from a health food store near me and they tasted kind of bitter??? Is that normal?
Yay for Episode 12. Keep em coming girl :D
Gotta love sweet taters.
I agree with everything you said about blogging. I just LOVE all the people I have met!! Blogging is totally awesome.
Oh my goodness gracious.. all those baked goods look FABULOUS.. especially the Chocolate Chip-Carob Chip-Fig Spread Blondies. I would seriously love to sink my teeth into those babies. Mmm you are such a wonderful baker!!!
i would love to live in your neighborhood, i would just be casually walking by just as you are pulling stuff out of the oven.. "oh veggie girl... how ARE YOU???? Why yes of course I would love to try something...!!!"
lol just kidding.. : ) everything looks great!
HA! Your dad is so funny - he did the same thing I would have done! LOL. But he's still adorable and I think he is going to become famous in his own right from your vlogs. Thanks for all the food porn in this post - the pictures are awesome and are making me drool. I love baked sweet potato fries with garlic and cinnamon. Sounds weird but tastes - To. Die. For! It stinks that you had to deal with so many allergies growing up but I'm glad you got the further testing so you could be aware and take good care of yourself. Hugs to you!
That's how I make my sweet potatoes too. Mmmmmm. You should try them dipped in hot sauce. My fave is Frank's Red Hot with 'em.
my internet is fixed so now I can watch! YAY! I always wear my hair back too- it's just annoying to have it fall in my face all the time!
We should start a veggiedad fan club...maybe it'll coax him out of stage fright!
I have a question for you: what has been the best meal you have eaten since becoming vegan?
love the videos...keep 'em coming!
Excellent load of VeggieGirl baked goods! Everything looks completely beyond delicious.
I vote to coax VeggieDad away from his camera shyness! The hand was a start. He needs to make a full all-star appearance though.
I just cooked my sweet potato Kailey-style for the first time today. It was awesome!
I'm so glad you went with all three requests... video Q&A's, your wonderful baked goodies(especially the Almond-Fudge Blondies!), and trying to get Veggie Dad on...
He's great for being there for you in your blogging adventure. I want to get my mom in on more of mine too!
Man you have been BIZ-ZY baking! It all looks great! I gotta try those sweet potatoes.
Oh my GOSH all of your baked goods sound fantastic!! I think my faves are the PB Puffin Carob Chip Pecan Blondies -- but of course, I'd have to sample them all to be sure... :)
Hi there Veggie Girl-
I saw your post on Gina's blog regarding the Thrive series and I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on the book, etc.
Brendan's views at times seem to be a bit extreme (although I have not yet read the book). He does not cite his facts in the online tutorial which would be helpful in researching his views further. Does any of this play into your distaste for the book/series?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
youre up tomorrow!
Miz.
Mmmmm your post makes me wonder why on earth I have not yet made blondies?!?!? ALMOND FUDGE?!?!? Yes please!!!!
And I'd love to see or hear more about what you eat (main meal wise). Sharing some of your food restrictions I'm always looking for new meals (not that I don't adore your baking of course!!)
Daria! Everyone always brings up that show to me because of the sister, Quinn!
Your baked goods always look sooooooo good!
There is so much sweet deliciousness and (from you) cuteness in this post, you'll have to excuse me while I go and faint!
i am so craving a sweet potato right now!
honey! When are you getting your own show or writing your own book. You never cease to AMAZE me.
Such a fabulous post!! Oh my goodness, you should open a bakery!! Everything looks incredible, especially the gorgeously moist pudding cake!!
I always, always look forward to Friday evenings!!! I've been reading for quite awhile, but I don't really comment, but I thought I would take the time today to tell you how much I love your blog! All of those baked goods look amazing and I can't wait for tomorrow to be over (I'm sure you can't either-- you=busy ;) so that I can enjoy another post! Hope school has gone well this week. I, personally, have been enjoying a three week break from exams and its almost over =( Thanks for the great posts as always!

Wow, the baked goods all look amazing!!
i love sweet potatoes and those look so good! (everything else looks wonderful too but the sweet potatoes caught my eye)
VeggieLady! You are too popular and I had to wait 10 minutes for your hundreds of comments to load so I could leave one of my own. ;)
Just wanted to say that I'm thoroughly enjoying my weekly doses of VGTV even if I'm not always commenting and I can't wait 'til VeggieDad makes his debut! Also, would you kill me if I told you I've NEVER eaten a blondie? I don't even know what makes it different from a brownie! EEEE!
did I never leave a comment on this post? I am losing my crap! I miss you too, VG. hopefully we'll both soon have more free time to get back in touch more efficiently than we have recently. <3
great recipes!
OMG walnut fig-spread brownies! Genious!
Yay for another video post and a gaggle of delicious looking baked goods. Being a banana lover I am particularly taken by your muffins. Yum!
Wow, videos too!?! Your blog just keeps getting more sophisticated!
If you're interested, I'm looking for bloggers to review my cookbook (The Healthaliciously Good Cookbook). Email me at aurelie@aurelieshealthycuisine.com and I'll send you a review copy.

Veggie Girl! I lovee your blog! I just started my own because of the bloggers like you that are so inspiring!
I love VeggieGirl TV, please KEEP IT UP! :)
Just discovered your blog from MizFit's post today. Your video was great, really interesting and informative and you're an inspiration, VeggieGirl!
I have an autoimmune disease too (ankylosing spondylitis) and fully understand the role that diet plays in the healing process. It's great that you discovered what works for you and that you're kind enough to share it with others.

Fun questions and answers! I love these VeggieTV episodes it's so fun getting to know you through them!
Just found your blog and I really like it. Looks like you make a lot of tasty things and I will be making some of them for sure!
You're doing video now? So cool! At the moment I have little online time, but I should have some more in a few weeks. I'm very much looking forward to checking out what you've been doing.

These desserts look awesome. Love figs. Thanks for visiting my site.
People say I'm allergic to a lot of stuff because I can't have peanuts, soy, chickpeas and eggs. I am very impressed with your ability to come up with so many tasty creations with all your diet restrictions.
Ha ha, I was Darya in high school too.
I love the way you tell your story. And I'm definitely going to try your sweet potatoes for my VEGGIEHUBBY :)
