VG NYC Part Five: The Pure Food and Wine Dinner Selections for Everyone Else

**Thursday, June 25th: The rest of dinner**

So now that you have seen and read about my "chocoholic dinner and dessert" at Pure Food and Wine, it is time to share with you what my dining companions (the "Veggie Folks," Gena, and Melissa) ate on that Thursday night.

VeggieDad ordered the Butter Lettuce Caesar Salad for dinner (which featured a chocolate-balsamic reduction, avocado, lemon, caesar dressing, fine herbes, capers, and "parmesan")...

...and then both he and VeggieMom had the Winter Citrus Sorbet Plate for dessert (which was a selection of meyer lemon, tangerine, pink grapefruit, and passionfruit sorbets).

As for her entrée, VeggieMom ordered the Sweet Pickled Beet & Rosemary Cashew Chevre Ravioli (which was composed of braised pea shoots and fava greens, blood orange, saffron cream, and kalamata tapenade).

Melissa ordered the S&M Salad (a new personal favorite of mine that I now enjoy at home), made up of greens, avocado, hemp seeds, dulse, rosemary crackers, and argon-lemon dressing...

and then enjoyed the Chocolate Passion Fruit Tart for dessert (which contained passion fruit curd with fresh raspberries, framboise pearls, vanilla "cream" and chocolate-cacao ice "cream").

Gena ordered a Build-Your-Own Salad with greens, carrots, dulse, avocado, cucumber, argon-lemon dressing, and a side of guacamole...

...and then it was time for the Strawberry Shortcake Napoleon, which is one of her favorites at Pure Food and Wine.

This truly was an evening filled with the best company, exceptional food, entertaining conversation, and lasting memories.

**Stay tuned for Part Six of the VG NYC post series!!**
